The skeleton bookcase is an expression of storage in its simplest form, drawing on natural forms of support and blending into there surroundings.

3D printed skeleton bookcase analyzes and employees manufacturing processes that are efficient and robust within contemporary production processes. Using 3D printing for what it does well = complex computer fabrication, and a circular saw for what it does well = simple human fabrication. The intersection of these two expressions brings to surface an intuitive and approachable system that is simple from a wide view and complex from a close view.

I want to thank all of my friends and colleagues in the Design Kitchen at X, the moon shot for there support, encouragement, and help with this project. Without your support this idea would have lived only in my sketchbook and never entered our physical realm.
